It goes like this (to the theme of the Adams family):

Your father is your brother,
Your sister is your mother,
Your all sha**** each other,
The Barnsley family,
der der der der der- INBREDS!

Another favourite of Owls fans at Barnsley is (to the tune of can we play you every week?):

Have you ever had a wash?
Have you ever had a wash?

Some of the oldies are the best. Waaay back, when it was police not stewards in the ground, Blades used to sing:

Who's that copper with the helmet on, Dixon, Dixon
Who's that copper with the helmet on, Dixon of Dock Green.
On the beat all day, on the wife all night
Who's that copper with the helmet on, Dixon of Dock Green.

He's here, he's there, we're not allowed to swear, xxxx xxxx
(Insert a footballer's name here)

Most of the rest are unprintable, but these 2 used to get the coppers smiling, so they didn't hit you so hard with the truncheon later on.

There's another we used to sing in our heady days in the premiership. It was when we used to regularly visit Anfield (wipes tear from eye!). It goes:

In the Liverpool slums,
Your dads in the nick
And your mums on the game,
You can't get a job 'cos your too f****** thick,
In the Liverpool slums.

it amuses me how many times away supporters when at Hull sing (to the tune of 'she'll be coming round the mountain')

You can shove your ******* ferries up your ****
You can shove your ******* ferries up your ****
You can shove your ******* ferries, shove your ******* ferries
Shove your ******* ferries up your ****

Crude, and it may lose something on the language filter but it always makes me giggle.

The songs we sing in Grimsby are quite funny:

Sing when your fishing,
You only sing when your fishing!

And theres:

Your s*** and you stink of fish!
Your s*** and you stink of fish!

Brighton fans have started singing a good song:

He's fat, he's round,
He's give us a ground
John Prescott, John Prescott!

I think thats class!

Ive not heard these songs for a few years...

He's only a poor little cockney,
His face is all tattered and torn,
He made me feel sick,
So I hit him with a brick,
And now he don't sing any more...

In the Liverpool slums,
You look in a dustbin for something to eat,
You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat,
In the Liverpool slums....

I could post a few more old'ish footie chants/songs etc but by todays standards they would be classed as racist and vulgar... and upset too many people.

Someone made footie a family game....

You can't read,
You can't write,
But that don't really matter,
You are from Rotherham,
You have a head full of flour!

Town full of flour heads,
You're just a town full of flour heads,
Town full of flour heads!

I used to live on Parkside Rd, Hillsborough.

Wednesday was the bottom of my garden for 18 years.

It was brilliant when we had the Euro and other cup games there. Used to watch TV with the windows open. Great atmosphere.

However, don't follow any one team. Want all Sheff teams to do well.

Can someone give me a full rendision of......

' Hark now here the Wednesday sing................ etc'

Know it's about the Blades but don't know what it refers to, except for some long ago Boxing day!

And no slagging please

;)

And we will fight for ever more
Because of boxing day"

its an old score that needs to be laid to rest....
