Long term friends and pioneering electronic musical comrades LCD Soundsystem & Hot Chip have announced they will play a series of special co-headline shows in the UK this autumn including a performance at the Magna Centre in Rotherham on Saturday 13th November.

LCD Soundsystem recently released their third album 'This Is Happening' to mass critical acclaim. Since then, the speculation has continued to build that this is their final album and the prelude to the end! Anyone who witnessed their recent sold-out headline tour of the UK, Wireless headline show and rapturous Glastonbury performance will know that LCD are still one of the most explosive and relevant live bands around today.

Currently in mainland Europe on a festival trail, they return to the US heading to Japan, Korea, Australia (for another bunch of shows with Hot Chip) before returning to the UK later this Summer for Reading/Leeds, Electric Picnic & Bestival.

The 5-headed pop colossus known as Hot Chip have an enviable live reputation. With an arsenal that includes hits ‘Over and Over’, Ready For The Floor’, ‘Boy From School’ & ‘One Life Stand’ to name but a few, the band continue to tour the summer festivals before heading to the U.S. for their biggest headline shows to date at New York’s Summerstage in Central Park and 2nd on the bill under Lady Gaga at the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago.

Having recently stormed Glastonbury as penultimate headliners on the Other Stage and still fresh from the critical acclaim showered upon them for their fourth long player, “One Life Stand” which garnered their first Radio 1 A-list single (One Life Stand) and lead to collaborations with likes of Peter Serafinowicz and Bonnie Prince Billie (I Feel Better), Hot Chip continue to prove they are one of the most interesting, forward thinking and most loved bands in the UK today.

Together this marks one of the most interesting & un-missable tours of the year.

Doors open at 7pm
Tickets are priced at £25 each and can be purchased via Magna's website www.visitmagna.co.uk/concerts, in person from the Sheffield Arena Box Office or via the Arena's ticket hotline - 0114 256 56 56

69 bus from Sheffield bus station stops on Sheffield Road around the back of Magna. It's then a 5 minute walk round to the main entrance. I think the last one runs back to Sheffield at around midnight - but worth checking timetables on t'internet. Otherwise tram or train from Meadowhall. The last ones leave Meadowhall stations at midnight ish I think - the gigs due to finish at 11pm.

The gig is a double headline show so there'll be full sets from both bands - you'd pay £25 to see just one of them these days the way ticket prices have gone!!

I have 3 tickets spare if anyone wants them for face value + booking fee. 3 of my friends can no longer make it so genuine reason for the sale. Plus i'd rather someone have them without paying extra to a tout.

PM if you're interested.

There are still tickets available for this. Visit www.lunatickets.co.uk or call 08444 77 1000.

Doors to one of the small rooms (with bar!) have been moved forward to 6pm. Doors to the main room won't open until 7pm. As the concert has been billed as a co-headline show we're expecting the first band to be on at around 7.30 - 7.45pm-ish.
