I wouldn't even bother trying PC World or any other shop about software related issues.

I don't use the application you have but i'm sure there will be a web address of the manafacturer (usually in Help>About) at the top of the main window.

From there do a search on the Nero site and you should find what you want.

£1.50 a min !!!...Cheeky b******s

Bearing in mind it's Saturday, you may have to wait a few days longer before you hear :)

Have a look on their site to see if they have a forum of any kind. Also it might be worth a general problem search in Google etc...Try to keep your search to a minimum while covering all the main problems.

I use Nero but only for burning so I can't really be of much help about your exact problems but have you checked to see if Nero requires a higher resolution to the one that your screen is set to?

If it does, just right click on your main desktop..A menu will come up.. go into properties..then another menu comes up..go into settings...and move the slider in that menu to what it says in Nero. 1024 X 768 is needed on a lot of photo type apps

Good luck ;)

Oh dear :shakes: You know you can just great free software off the net that does funky slideshows without having to splash the cash?

Just avoid PC World, and if you need any computer help there are plenty of people on here who can help.

Just google for irfanview, it's free for home use, will display and edit every graphics format I've ever come across and will display a slideshow of you images.

Instead of talking to PC World, there is a better option.

Go into the kitchen and talk to the kettle, you will get a far better degree of customer service.

My elderly neighbour went to PC World I learned this morning and got severely ripped off. He only wanted a very basic and cheap budget machine for simple email and casual internet browsing. Now, he's not an expert on computer technology at all but came back having forked out nearly 1500 for a system he clearly did not need. PC World had failed to point out the buget priced basic machines and brainwashed him with mumbo jumbo that he needed a Pentium 3.4 GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM, plus DVD writers, Blue tooth motherboard and Firewire card...I was so annoyed as he is elderly and not especially aware of the value of money, or that he could have got a basic machine for exactly his needs for a round £325-350. What is even more amazing is that the sales guy, apparently some 19 year old 'know it all' ignored all his basic questions and decided to talk hi-tech crap at him for 20 minutes to get the sale of the top range machine. "You will need this...and this...and this..and this.." kind of sustained hard selling.....

DO PC World staff get trained by robots? I was told the staff simply did not listen to a word he said about what he wanted, and once they found out he had zero knowledge of computers and prices, proceeded to hard sell ojne of the most expensive machine they had in the store.

To cap it all when the machine was set up, it did not even work!! The installation of WIndows XP done by the manufacturer was faulty and he had no graphic card driver installed, plus they had forgotten to install the modem and bluetooth drivers. and the motherboard set up disk was also the wrong one!!!..I understand he spent 30 minutes on the phone to PC WOrld at Meadowhell and was fobbed off with some 19 year old assistant with a "useless old git" attitude to my neighbour, and spouted verbal hi-tech pretentious crap about how to download the latest driver updates...interesting experience as there is no driver for the modem!!!!

I expect to hear more horror stories tomorrow...
