Monday 19th July - How do you want Sheffield to Develop.

Time: 18:30 - 20:00
Venue: Hillsborough Sports Arena, Middlewood Road.

How Do You Want Sheffield to Develop?

The Sheffield Development Framework or ‘SDF’ is the Plan that says how the city should develop in the future. The Council are currently asking people their views on parts of the draft SDF during the summer. You know your streets and the places you spend your time in better than anyone. This is your chance to share your views on the future of the city.

This consultation is on the ‘City Policies and Sites’ document and the ‘Proposals Map’. The ‘City Policies and Sites’ document will help us make planning decisions. It also identifies sites and areas for new development. The ‘Proposals Map’ shows how these proposals will affect different areas. To find out more visit www.sheffield.gov.uk/sdfconsult

Attractive And Thriving Centres

Attractive, successful centres are one of the reasons why people choose to live or work in an area. We want every community to have an attractive and thriving centre – a place where you can live, work, shop, meet and relax. We would like to hear your views on the district and local centres that you use in Sheffield - which centres you think are most important and what improvements are most needed. Over the summer months, Sheffield residents and businesses will be asked to help develop plans to create thriving district and local centres ‘TDLC’, across the whole of the city. for more info go to www.sheffield.gov.uk/thrivingcentres

Thanks for posting that Foxy.

Why on earth don't the Council publicise things like this on the Forum though? Surely a resource as big as SF would be one of the most useful places to advertise things like this. Anyone would think they don't actually want the public to attend.

No idea. The police have now seen the benefit of using the forum, why the council don't is a mystery.

Anyhoo, it's tonight, I will be there, it is important. Your chance to see what the council have planned for our area in the future and your chance to say what you think and what you would like changing.

Such as <cough> re-designation of the site of the community garden to green space instead of leaving it open for the council to sell for development if the right offer comes along.. ;)
