Sheffield Village Fete

Come to The Moor on Sunday, 18 July, 2010, and enjoy a traditional village fete experience, complete with star attractions Peppa Pig and Heeley City Farm animals. Enjoy the brass band and local dance acts and try your luck on the Bucking Bronco or score a goal at the Penalty Shootout.

‘The Moor Village Fete’ is set to be a fantastic fun day for the whole family and celebrates the transformation of the area with a £2.5m investment in paving, lighting and seating. The event also includes DJ, kids rides and much more.

We're going to this today - might be ok, especially if the weather brightens up.:)

well there was no sign of Peppa Pig when we were there about 1pm - maybe the rain washed her out?

Not as many stalls either as I expected (was looking forward to a hot dog and candy floss).

Lovely animals tho and thank you to the lady and her daugter? who my son decided were his new parents for playing along and not running a mile - I am sure he'll learn about strangers one day.

There wasn't much there really was there?

But my daughter enjoyed sitting in the fire engine and we both loved the animals.

I went through, and was a bit disappointed, last year they had the mediaeval re-enactments and all sorts, all there seemed to be today was a strangely -parked fire engine and a police van.

It's the same with a lot of events in the city centre - they have the potential to be really good but end up being, at best, mediocre.:|
