Hiya, going to be moving to Sheffield shortly and have no idea of suitable areas.
I will be working near Drake House retail park and would like to know of areas in sheffield with easy access to there but also to the town centre. (Would like to be able to go out for a few cheeky beers at the weekend)
There is another problem, I will be moving to sheffield solo so have a limited budget of around £70,000-£80,000.
If anyone has info on areas that tick all these boxes it would be appreciated.
Possibly Westfield, which is close to Crystal Peaks/Drakehouse and is served by the tram for the city centre. Crystal Peaks has a reasonable bus interchange too for access to other areas. You may find somthing for your budget in this area but I think you will struggle to get anything other than a small flat.

Thanks for that will have a look in that area, to be honest a small flat with preferabley no garden would be all I need, but I did kind of want a two bedroom place so I could have people to stay or get a lodger.
May have to look further afield and commute a little, any ideas on areas suitable would be appreciated!!
Thanks again
Kerry
If you go onto www.rightmove.co.uk you can do a search and see what's available.

I would advise Beighton. Its close to Drakehouse, its a nice area, good bus service and you can walk to the supertram at Crystal Peaks for weekend jaunts to town. We live there and we like it. Never seen any trouble. You could prob buy a terrace for your price range.

You can catch a bus to there from Woodhouse, and the train is the best bet for getting into town from here - only 10 mins
www.vebra.com covers both of sheffield's most popular estate agents sites in one go
Put S13 in, but ignore Handsworth properties
www.blundells.co.uk 's search page is good to use for pinpointing where areas are, but the properties come up on the vebra search too

Thanks for all, its really useful to now that I can live reasonably close to work but still get into town without too many problems!!!
Ive been thinking about the move and all that and think I may be best moving into a shared house first, just until I get to know people and Sheffield.
My house is on the market but until that sells I can't really do much!!
Anyway thanks for the info
