There have been quite a few threads about Shiregreen.
I have lived here on and off for 37yrs.Certain parts of it are better than others.
There tends to be the usual groups of kids that congregate around the shops, but saying that I don`t find them too intimidating.
The area itself is about to undergo major regeneration via Sanctuary Housing (if the vote goes their way)
Take a look at their show house on Concord Road.

Are you looking to buy or rent ?

Drive round at various times of the day to get a better feel.
Its no different from most parts of Sheffield most of the people are fine ,odd few that just don`t care

Good luck:thumbsup:

Tends to be better up top part of Shiregreen.

I used to live in lower Shiregreen, moved about 5 months ago and can honestly say will never move there again, I hated it.

Kids hanging around on the streets and shops, normal I know for most areas but they used to walk up and down all day with cans of beer not having anything better to do, just had a really bad feel to it.

Just my opinion though.

Many of the comment i have seen on the forums fit the bill nicely. I have lived in shiregreen all my life both on fircroft and now hartlebrook.

You can really see a slide once you pass the nethershire shops and the gangs of youths at the shops can be a little intimidating but all in all its a nice little area, some of the staff are very pleasent with customers too namely costcutter and the booze shop :d
