Hi,
A couple of months ago I was on the Forum and found a link someone had posted for a website that you can look up property prices on for free, ie, how much people have paid for a property.
I have lost this web address - so if anyone knows it could you let me know please.
Thanks

It's not that usefull as it includes sales back to 2001, so the actual average it gives you is over at least the last 5 years.

Move on past the page with the average and you will see individual sale prices.
However it is clearly not capturing all sales that have occured.

The individual prices look about right but I agree it's not showing all of them, our next door neighbour only moved in last year but thats not shown.
It does show that a house on our street went from £25K in 2002 to £65K in 2003 though, which is quite astonishing.

it has to wait for the data to be published by the home office, it's generally about 1 year behind.
It does seem to have some more upto date sales on there now though, some from only a couple of months ago.

No. It simply is not picking up all sales.
I can see sales around me from 2003 and 2005. I can also see that some sales that have occured in between those dates are not listed.
Information is available from the Land Registry within months of a sale.
If you really want a specific price for a given property, you can get it from the Land Registry website for £2.
UpMyStreet.com (http://www.upmystreet.com/enter-location/l/?fpage=%2Fproperty%2Fprices%2F) has got up to date prices and appears to be linking to the Land Registry. It does require registration.
