is he/she mad at you....or something else...:heyhey:

I usually interpret a blank look as "I don't know what you're on about"

Usually they have just broken wind!

or it could mean, that they don't care what you're on about - they don't respect your opinion.

I'm intrigued - what was the situation?

or they may have just been daydreaming, in a world of their own and not realised that you're there

An unintentional blank look = i'm bored? I don't know you? I'm looking at the person right behind you? You talking to me? What are you looking at? I wish I was somewhere else?

Sorry, but need a bit more info before I could come up with any reasoned guess.

probably means he's daydreaming and not listening.

But why do you say unintentional?

English people i've noticed often look angry when there not !

Northeners mostly seen to look serious and tense, even just standing waiting for a bus or walking around town, they have that certain frown... then again why walk around town smiling at nothing :)

According to one forummer, I always look aimless, and my vacant grin doesn't help! My 'northern frown walk' often makes people think I am on a mission of vengeance too.

Poppins,
i'm not sure if we are talking 'English' here.
I believe D1La is in a boarding school in Malaysia (correct me if I'm wrong).

D1La,

I'd love to here more about where you are.
Is this someone that you have taken a fancy to?

If it's a man, it means "I'm not listening, but I am trying a look of sincerity to see if it satisfies any requirement for interaction on my part."

If it's a woman ... I have no idea, and I doubt I ever will :)
