I actually bought the record of Captain Sensible's "Happy Talk" back in the early 80s... :help:

Of course nowadays such a tune wouldn't be seen anywhere near my music collection but hell, I was only about 7 when I bought it...

That and a single of Kevin the Gerbil's cover version of Cliff Richard's "Summer Holiday", LMAO!

Not my greatest ever purchase I admit, but meh, I was big on the whole Roland Rat thing when I was a youngster..

Me too.

Keep on Moving by Five has to be one of the best feel-good songs ever, I always play it to cheer me up.

Other cheesy songs which I love:
Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)
North and South - Breathing (I'll be very surprised if anyone else has ever even heard this)
Blondie - Maria
Most songs by Take That
Boyzone - A Different Beat
MC Hammer - You Can't Touch This
Spice Girls - Viva Forever
Peter Andre - Mysterious Girl
McFly - Room on the Third Floor

I don't think I dare admit to much of my mile wide cheesey streak..!

I like alsorts from pop / indie / rock / dance / industrial / occasional R&B to folk / hip hop / reggae / dub / acoustic / classical / you name it I like it...

Plenty of cheese on my iPod tho.. Britney, Ms Lavigne, some dodgy but lovely old stuff like Voice of the Beehive... B52s...

If it has a good melody I like it normally.. whether its Nine Inch Nails, Missy Elliot or Kylie.

Sometimes I feel ashamed.. but in the end who cares... its whatever makes you happy init!

Every response so far has sounded classy compared to the hubby's collection of vintage europop including

Hermes House Band's version of I Will Survive
Rednecks- Cotton Eye Joe
Trio- Da da da
Opus- Live is Life
EAV- Ba ba ba bankrobbery
The Ketchup Song

He also loves sacharrin sweet country and western and 80's mullet

I could go on, but I think I need to play a little Nick Drake to counteract the nausea!

God i have tons!

I remember I started dating this bloke and my kudos dropped dramatically when he got in my car and I started playing Erasure. He actually said, "Isn't this a bit eighties for someone like you?" :suspect: I'm an eighties teen - what do you expect?!
We split up the next date and we'd been dating for three months - so I blame Andy Bell! :hihi:

Ok stuff that i really like, I've probably seen them live (*means i have) and it is not cool to admit that!

*Robert Palmer (Bloomin love him! RIP Rob)
*Erasure
Madonna
*Level 42
*Spandau Ballet
*Culture Club
*Hue and Cry
Britney Spears
*Justin Timberlake
*McFly
*George Michael
*Tom Jones
*Simply Red

That'll do for now!
