Hi Folks,
just been passed this info from a friend in my organisation - I've checked personally and it appears to be a genuine threat...
Please ensure that this is circulated to all staff, as any of them who bank with LloydsTSB & use Internet Banking may be affected thanks
Fraudulent emails
We have been made aware that another fraudulent email alleging to be from Lloyds TSB is currently in circulation. Customers may start receiving these emails from 11 January 2004. These emails contain a link that when accessed displays a screen asking customers to enter their Internet banking Memorable Information, User ID and Password, and is entitled 'Confirm your Password and Memorable Information'. If any customers make enquiries about this issue, please advise that these are not genuine emails and that Lloyds TSB never send emails that ask for this information to be recorded in this way. If customers have received such an email, please ask them not to respond and forward the message immediately to Online@lloydstsb.co.uk. If a customer is concerned that they may have divulged their details or encounter a problem when trying to forward the email to us, please ask them to call our Internet banking Helpdesk immediately on 0845 3000 116 (+44 20 7649 9437 from overseas) Textphone (if you have a hearing or speech impairment): 0845 3002280 (+44 141 303 6314 from overseas. Customers can contact these numbers between 7am - 10pm Mon - Fri, 8am - 6pm weekends.
