Here is the England squad to tour Pakistan, I think they have made an error in not taking Chris Read of Notts.

What do you think ?

England one-day squad: Michael Vaughan, James Anderson, Paul Collingwood, Andrew Flintoff, Ashley Giles, Stephen Harmison, Geraint Jones, Simon Jones, Kevin Pietersen, Matthew Prior, Liam Plunkett, Vikram Solanki, Andrew Strauss, Chris Tremlett, Marcus Trescothick.

England Academy squad: Gareth Batty (Worcestershire), Ravi Bopara (Essex), Stuart Broad (Leicestershire), Rikki Clarke (Surrey), Alastair Cook (Essex), James Dalrymple (Middlesex), Steven Davies (Worcestershire), Mark Footitt (Nottinghamshire), Ed Joyce (Middlesex), Robert Key (Kent), Sajid Mahmood (Lancashire), Liam Plunkett (Durham), Chris Read (Nottinghamshire), Owais Shah (Middlesex), Tom Smith (Lancashire), Luke Wright (Sussex), Mike Yardy (Sussex).

nice to see they have picked Udal for his youth :loopy:

bit of a joke imo. surely getting a young spinner experience would be better. I know he's taken more wickets than any other off spinner this season but really.

They should have just got Vaughany to brush up on his bowling rather than taking Udal, his off-spin is not half bad but he's too reluctant to bring himself on.

As for Read, his batting average is higher than Prior's and he's a far better wicketkeeper, so I'm mystified as to why he isn't in the Test squad.
