I refuse to pay admin fees through agents for renting a house and was wondering if anyone can enlighten me to where people advertise their private houses to rent/let??

Soz, you can also try various free websites. And there's always shop windows.

Try these two for starters. They're pretty good and completely free. I got a new housemate from one of them - you can advertise whole houses as well of course.

I think if you search in google you may find more sites - a lot of them you have to pay for though.

I have always had success with www.accommodationforstudents.com
You have to log in first and they do advertise a paying service but if you click onto messages in top right corner you can access wanted adverts and advertise your own place as well. Loads of people use it - not just students.

If your a student u cud try your local accommodation office if not theres the local paper the star?
