well i know about 20 who work in their bradford offices where i used to work
and they are all getting made redundant at the end of the month because they needed
to cover a dept and that was the only way they could afford it...
they are transferring most of their business down to their hook offices...
more could be closing soon..
they have also just sold all their channels to sky as they could not afford to run then..
I think they are on their last legs personally......
also they are nothing to do with branson as most think,he let them use
the virgin name and he gets 10% of the company profits...thats all!!!

i know the people in the very team you would be working with, they are very friendly and open and nice to work with, as for the company hit and miss some mamgers are great, others poor, company going through some big changes at present which is hindering performance but will come out of it a better place to work. they are big on values and attitudes, go online and look up the vigin values, it will impress them, good luck.
hi, where can i apply for this job, i got alot of call centre experience. do you have to pass a credit check?

Selling VMTV to Sky because they cant afford to run them? A little ill-advised I might say but whatever.
Hook's home of VM's financial services departments amongst others which have migrated there although there's no customer services etc there and wouldnt be the space for it either. Due to the way the business is built, ie 50ish cable franchises merging into 1 over 15 years there's still a lot of reorganisation going on, there's no need to have an ntl sales centre and a telewest centre any more etc. One thing you know about Sheffield's office is that as it's sat on their regional headend (where tv's connected to etc) they've either a pretty much permanent lease/own the buildings outright (cant remember which) meaning they're never effectively going to move out. Also, VM havent had to cull any more staff than they already had planned over the last 2 years despite the recession. If wondering I do work there although not in the dept that the OP is applying for.
On Branson, he/The Virgin Group have about a 7% holding so would get a dividend but 10% of profits would be a bit silly.
Regarding the OP, expect the usual competency based questions like "in such and such a situation a customer asks X and you dont know the answer, what do you do?" or "tell me of a time in a prev role that you've delivered great customer service" etc. Look up the values as the prev poster said for brownie points.
