Basically it is reclaiming left over food and opting out of the capitalist system to an extent.. About minimising comsumption and use of resources.
While in its extremities the morals and ideal behind it are somewhat questionable and sometimes illegal I'd have to say that it raises a good issue.
The vast majority of shops/cafes/diners/take aways/restaurants/hotels etc etc throw away perfectly good food at the end of the day. There must be some way opf collecting this and redistributing it to the needy?
