View Full Version : Not so much a 'classic'
LilyLilo 27-06-2010, 19:29 Iv'e seen a car driving around quite alot and i think it's awsome.
Problem is I have no idea what it is?
It's a pale mint green with a cream roof.
It has a female driver and i think she owns the shop 'The Pad' on London Road.
(It's that retro style shop near all the antique shops down there).
Can anybody enlighten me?
hiya its a trabant , east german car , see her alot in it , very nice condition isnt it theres afew about but that one is mint
LilyLilo 27-06-2010, 19:57 It really is amazing! So glad you knew this. Me and my boyfriend have been going crazy trying to figure it out! Thankyou!
LilyLilo 27-06-2010, 20:10 Hi again.
Iv'e just searched google for the car that you named and it's not the one I was thinking of. The one I was thinking of is a Nissan Figaro...
Apparently my boyfriend found out what it was and has only just informed me! Pffft!
Ha Ha Ha!!! the trabant (http://www.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=trabant&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=r_MnTLTYOoTu0wSHi6i1BA&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCIQsAQwAA) is an 'orrible stinky, smokey little two stroke affair that was made of paper mache in East Germany :gag::gag:
The Nissan Figaro (http://www.google.co.uk/images?um=1&hl=en&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=nissan+figaro&btnG=Search&aq=f&aqi=g2g-m1&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=) is a little better (but not much:hihi:) but made in the land of the rising sun..
Naw, that's not really fair- it's a womans car in reality;)
Biggsy:)

Not cheap either

I was only messing about as someone described the ladies car as a trabant (the worst car in the known universe!)
My wife had a Nissan micra years ago, i borrowed it as my VW had been hit in the rear and was scrapped:mad:
i was going to take my mum to her caravan at Skeggy, as i was driving down t'cliffe, i hit a hole in the road which was so deep it knocked the rear suspension leg clean through the turret:rant:, i drove the rest of the way to her house in a definite list..
strangely, i don't think it would have bothered a Panzer:roll:
John:)
the figaros are also turbo'ed arent they?
cute little cars really and hold their value well if looked after.
<rant>
strangely, i don't think it would have bothered a PanzerBuilt 'like', not 'as' ;) :P :D
I've only had Jap cars for well over a decade... but I wouldn't have one ;)

Its a micra in a dress. And its not "like all micras", its built for the japanese market and as such the corrosion resistance leaves a lot to be desired in a british climate.
Id rather have a trabant, personally
