Am thinking of going to Maso for a pre-theatre dinner and wonder whether anyone can report on what it's like there...

haven't been for a pre theatre dinner but a few months ago I went for the 'all you can eat' buffet lunch - very disappointing.

Is that the Italian place? If it is, I went once and there was a power cut so I drank my lemonade and went to Jumbo instead!

I went last night and you're right that the buffet looks disappointing.

We had food from the menu and it was really good, although having ordered lamb and cod for the main course they did come back later and say there was only one portion of lamb and no cod so we had to select something else.

Apart from that the food was great and refreshingly different from most pizza and pasta places.

Went about a year ago with a group - apparently the microwave reheated stuff served appealed to no-one as far as I could tell. I certainly wouldn't give them another chance.
