- all bon jovi fans out there waiting for a new rock album

- you want more of those fun songs you remember from new jersey, slippery when wet etc...

WELL FORGET IT!

this is the same style as Crush & Bounce..only worse!.... half the tracks sound like they are lifted from a (bad) Bryan Adams record. unbreakable is the most rocking and the best song on the cd, not bad songs are 'last man standing' and 'dirty little secret' and 'you can't go home' is ok..but its pure pop

the rest are forgotten quickly after hearing. some bands have a dodgy album....then recover...bon jovi have had 3 very average albums in a row....looks like no recovery is coming!

(im off to post LOST...jon bon jovi's balls...please return to New Jersey if found)

I thought 'Keep the faith' was a big disappointment after 'New Jersey' it had a couple of good tracks but they seemed to loose it completely after that album.
I did like Sambora's solo effort though,(stranger in this town)

A couple of years ago I read a quote that sticks with me and still makes me chortle:

"Bon Jovi seem to be churning out the kind of ballads that even Aerosmith aren't desperate enough to do" Or summat like that.

its a real shame.... so is the fact that he refuses to play anything off the first 2 albums live...except runaway and very rarely in and out of love

im finding my rock fix from (for the most part) unknown bands in this country because the BIG bands are failing to deliver.

check out

harem scarem - (Debut & mood swings) actually this band has now gone bon jovi's way and gone soft! pah

gotthard - new album lipservice is pure rock class!

firehouse - any album!!

Seen bon jovi or " bye jovi" thats what i now call them 3 times . In 1986 they were pretty raw and keen but over the years there concerts and albums have both gone the same way for me, down hill?

I had to join in the conversation,

I used to be a huge Jovi fan - Keep the faith for me was that last great album they did, some of the solo's were worth the hype (Dry county solo is awesome)

I liked bits of these days
Crush I hated but have kinda got used to some of the stuff off it but every single they release seems to sound like either

thankyou for loving me - mushy ballad
or it's my life - sooooooo no technical anymore

its a real shame cos they were awesome

I liked bounce well I liked a lot of it again there were a lot of pointless album filling ballads

as for this left feels right - if i had to give my verdict as a fan i would just say WHY WHY WHY - they should never have done that pile of poop

Confession time. Bon Jovi was probably *the* band which got me into rock music. I quickly learned there was far, far better out there. The first two albums of Bon Jovis are excellent. From 'Slippery' they became very commercialised, hence the hits, New Jersey was tolerable, Keep the Faith saw the slide downhill, Blaze of Glory was unbearable and after that....well I just gave up listening.

I loathe and detest Bon Jovi requests. I growl at people who ask for 'Living on a Prayer' at the rock shows I do. Whenever I play Runaway or Tokyo Road or any of the early stuff people enjoy it and nine times out of ten ask who it is. They're usually surprised when they realise it's them.

I really, really don't want to hear the latest offering.

It seems I'm not the only person who's gone right off Bon Jovi! I'd liked Slippery When Wet and New Jersey but I've not bought any of their albums since.

its maybe a little harsh.... as an album on its own merits...its ok... but Bon Jovi (to me) set very high standards and they just fail to reach them anymore.

they seem to do music by numbers now. and the ballads are terrible!!!! how i loved ..living in sin, this aint a love song, always, never say goodbye..... now they just cant do that :(

the lyrics always have this stupid comedy slant to them....and the music has the same sound all the time now...cant quite put a description on it. but songs like `have a nice day' and `unbreakable' only make you think of other songs they have recently done. pah!

split up now so we can get another richie sambora solo album

Bon Jovi :gag:

I really have picked up a major dislike for these after the last few albums, seem to get less rock, more crap as they progress.

"Runaway" is a superb song. If you read the sleeve notes. It was an demo song and all the musiscians were session boys. It was before he even got the band together. !
