I just bought a cool waterproof warm coat from an ex catalogue shop type place at the bottom of the moor, sort of opposite stationary box, it was £40 and does the job perfectly!

I've got a Cotton Traders three in one jacket. It's a coat with detachable fleece liner which can be worn separately.

Says showerproof rather than waterproof, but I've never got wet in mine. And with the liner in it's incredibly warm.
