Rich 13-01-2004, 11:37 If you're into old stuff and culture, visit the Royal Armouries, it's actually quite good, and you can get in for nowt which is always a plus :) Damon 13-01-2004, 11:41 Just wander round the shopping areas - they're fab. The Victorian arcades are exquisite - there are 3 or 4 of them - and if you like more unusual Division Street-style shops, the Corn Exchange offers loads of them in a fabulously restored building. If you're into the theatre, Alan Bennett's lovely adaptation of Wind In The Willows is on at West Yorkshire Playhouse, which is a nice place to visit for food and drink anyway. If you're interested in art, Leeds City Art Gallery on the Headrow is a fine northern gallery with loads to see. Of course, there are tons of nice places to eat and drink in the city. If you want an extra nice meal, (though not especially cheap), Brasserie 44 just behind the Corn Exchange comes recommended by me. :thumbsup: The Royal Armouries museum is pretty good if you're into your historical battles and violent stuff like that. Its an all niter, u can stay till 9am. :) |
