:has anyone lost a pure white cat in the s5 area (colley ave/cres/road).
my neighbour has just been round and told me that a white cat has adopted her, it is all white and it is wearing a collar which is a bit too tight for the cat.
the cat has got bad ears (we think it might be sunburn) and it has been hanging around for a while.
the problem is that she has a dog who doesn't get on with cats, so she is unsure about what to do.
she has spoken to jackie at cats rescue, but it has not been reported missing.
if anyone thinks that they might know whos cat this is please let me know, as we would like to reunite it with its owners asap.
thanks claire:)
:)Hi if the cat isn't claimed and your friend can't keep it i would be happy to rehome it

Clairer, this is the RSPCA website where found cats can be posted. Posters around the area might help.
Good for you for caring x

Hi, i sent you a pm yesterday but you havent got back to me. Has the cat got a pink collar on if she has its probably my cat. If it is she hasnt got bad ears its just oil on the tips from where she goes under cars and it stains her fur. It shows up more because she is pure white.
Lola, perhaps you can send a photo to clairer. Why would she have both eartips with oil on when the remainder of her ears, her head and back aren't stained? Strange?

i only have a picture of her as a kitten. She comes home with scruffy patches all over her. She usually cleans them off within a day or two but cant reach her ears and always stay stained. if its my cat there is nothing wrong with her ears as she is vet checked if i ever feel there is anything wrong with her. Is she being fed by whoever, as she if its my cat she dosent come home very much anymore, i only she her about once a week as shes probably getting fed somewhere else aswell had a feeling shed taken up home somewhere else, but if she has a collar on she isnt a stray.
this cat definately has bad ears, they are red and sore, it clearly isn't oil. i think it has been seen by a vet (don't hold me to it though as it was my neighbour who dealt with the cat).
there is a picture up in colley road post office, so it can easily be checked to see if it is your cat.

My cat often has black ear tips but clean head from being under cars, I don't know how he manages it!
Poor cat, people with cats with white ears need to take a lot of care with them :(

Hi, thanks for reply but not my cat. She has been home every morning this week although i dont see her all day otherwise, which is why i though it might be mine.
My cat dosent have bad ears though, to a previouse comment on my cat getting oil on her ears, you cant comment on a cats ears you have never seen. Although im sure some white cats out there do have bad ears.
I always put sun tan lotion on the tips of my cat when ever its hot and i can catch her. She hates it though lol.
