On sunday I put my washing in before the forum meet, only to find out I put my bus pass in with it, luckily it survived.

What have you put in the washer?Did it survive or come out in bits?

Back in the day when I wore specs I once through a set of interesting circumstances (...I was drunk...ahem) I put my specs in jeans pocket forgot about them and they went thru the wash and tumble dryer the next day...

Boy I had fun explaining to the wonderful peeps at Dolland and Atchison what happened to my specs! but like the troopers they are they bent em back into shape and gave me all new screws, luckily I dint lose the lenses and they werent scratched!

But now I have contacts...perfect for the absently minded myopic!

Never lost my glasses in the washer, but i have lost several odd things.

1. A CD of my mates band
2. a pair of headphones
3. half a pack of spearmint extra strong mints (that was funny)

Guess i'm lazy and absent minded

Did find some chewing gum and tissues in my jeans pocket the other day on taking it out of the washer. Luckily did not spread throughout the wash though.

Chewing gum, polo mints, fivers, tenners: you name it, it's been through a wash cycle in my trouser pocket - except for stuff that won't fit in my pocket, that is, like a housebrick.

My Driving Licence has done a full cycle more than one,the photcard survives the ordeal ok,but paper part now looks quite unhealthy.

does this mean i have a clean licence ?.

Oh Fuzzy isn't that just the worst thing, finding you've left tissues in a pocket. Everything ends up covered in bits of paper which won't whatever you do shake off.

I stripped the sheets off the bed and gathered up the TV remote with everything in a bundle. We have a TV in the bedroom and always watch movies in there at night. Anyway, I went into the laundry room later on to put softner in the water and there it was bobbing around on its end. That was months ago and still works to this day. Nice and clean too.

I managed to put my passport in the wash when it was in the back pocket of my jeans. To my surprise it actually survived OK, but it was a bit crinkly though.

I'm surprised your TV remote survived Funke88!

I have a friend that left £240 in £20 notes in his trouser pocket, he remembered before the cycle had finished and had to stop the washer, water everywhere but his £20 pound notes were fine once they had dried out.

Has anyone here ever had the misfortune to wash a pillow?

Even though they say they are machine washable, you can never get them right again... all the filling is in big lumps and it's impossible to sleep on!
