Hello
Ive just spotted a nice house for sale on Doe Royd Cres Parson Cross. Can any one tell me what the area is like on and around the Cres? Does any one live near by & know the area well?

Doe Royd Cres, its ok.. i live 2 mins away from there... which side is the house on, towards wordsworth ave or Halifax rd? That area of the cross is ok. theres good and bad parts of this city..... one part (near) i dont like is just down the rd from Doe royd, at the bottom of Palgrave rd, on to wordsworth drive where the post office is....loads of community prats there, gangs of kids.. a few nutty tenants...:suspect:

I have an Aunt & Uncle who've lived on Doe Royd Crescent for 30 years or so and their son moved out to a few doors down. They love it up there, very quiet compared to other areas of the cross!!
In fact its so good i'm in the process of buying one on the Crescent, I'm getting a 2 bedroom semi with off road parking. Absolute bargain! For the same money on the other side of Halifax road I could afford a 1 bedroom flat.... Snobbery eh? :suspect:
