Hope I haven't repeated a thread here, but I'd like to congratulate local hero and all-round top bloke Michael Vaughan on his recent heroics.

Also - does anyone know him from his school days in Sheff? I was a good friend of his in the mid-eighties when we played for Porter FC sunday league team (he was an excellent goal scoring centre forward back then), and also played for the cubs team together. I remember we both scored 4 debut goals each in our 8-2 victory over Tuesday pack!

Needless to say our careers took very different paths after those days... and I've not spoken to him for about 15 years!

Anyone got any stories...?
