I have started a new business and am commuting to Sheffield from Wakefield, but don't have the cash flow to employ someone at the moment. I was wondering what requirements I need to bring someone in for work experience and what the best way would be to go about it?

Thanks, Chris

Google 'work experience requirements' and see the governments 'HSE' General legal requirements pages. :)

We are looking into taking a University student on their industrial placement/work experience. My understanding is work experience is work and is treated as such i.e. it is an employment of contract between you and them.

If, as I think you are implying, you want someone on work experience because they will be free...you will get what you pay for (not a lot!).
