Sharrow Fringe celebrates our community in the two weeks around the Sharrow Festival. We want to bring new activities and people to Sharrow as well as promote the creativity, enthusiasm and hard work that already goes on.

Exhibition Opportunity! If you would like to exhibit art work, commission free during the Fringe please bring you artwork to Highfield Trinity Church on the 21st June between 1-7pm.The theme this year is “Celebration”.(Open to all, all work must be labelled, priced and dropped of at Highfield Church) Art work is left at the artists own risk, pick will be 29th June between 1-7pm.

If you would like to enter BAG ART 10 Competition and design your cloth bag please collect a free bag from The Old Sweet Shop, Sharrow Community Forum, Highfield Library or the Rude Shipyard and return by 5pm 2nd July.

25th-28th June- Highfield Trinity Church- Free Art Exhibition- 10-7pm every day. An opportunity to exhibit and sell work commission free, Deadline for work 21st June
26th June
Flash Your Fiction FREE, Rude Shipyard, London Road (all day)
The Rude Shipyard is holding a celebration of flash fiction - very short stories. Come along on the day to explore this mode of storytelling and to write your own. There will be helpful hints and examples to read. At the end of the day there will be an opportunity for your story to be read, either by yourself or somebody else. Come and have fun. Go on, flash your fiction.

27th June
Sharrow Green Exchange, Old Junior School, South View Road,12-3pm, FREE. An opportunity to find out about green group and initiatives, listen to some chilled tunes and try out some good local food.
Art Exhibition , Highfield Trinity Church, London Road 10-7pm FREE
Community Picnic, Mount Pleasant Park, Vincent Road, FREE 3-6pm. Bring your own blanket and picnic, kite making, cricket and a chance to meet your neighbours. Discover the wild beasts in the park with the Park Ranger and Abbeydale Grange students leading a scavenger hunt.

28th June
Poetry and Music Evening, Highfield Trinity Church, London Road. 6-8pm FREETours, local artists exhibition, cake and refreshments, and poetry from Matter. (Matter is an annual anthology published by Mews Press at Sheffield Hallam University. It features the best poetry, prose and script from students on the MA Writing)The theme for this evening is celebration and is open to everyone. The exhibition will be open from 10am-6pm

29th June
Afternoon tea and jazz ensemble, The Old Junior School 12-2pm, FREE

1st July
Healthy food and relaxation evening, The Old Junior School, 6.30-8.30pm FREE. Join in with our two cook along demonstrations (all food provided for free), local information on healthy eating and cooking and receipe exchange (6.30-7.30pm). Then from 7.30pm enjoy a free 30 minute taster session of yoga and a relaxation method.

2nd July
Evening of Magic, The Rude Shipyard, Doors at 7pm. City Magicians launches their 'Magical Mystery Tour' at the Rude Shipyard. Join us for an entertaining evening of mystical magic, mesmerizing mind reading and classical conjuring, as three. Tickets are £9.50 and are available for purchase at the Rude Shipyard or pay online at www.citymagicians.com.
3rd July

6th July
BAG ART Auction - The Old Junior School, South View Road, 7.30-10.30pm FREE. Come and see the wonderful customised bags and have the opportunity to buy them at auction! All proceeds go towards printing the wining design.
9th July
Caberet Night, The Railway Inn, Bramhall Lane 8-11pm Tickets £4 on the door. An evening of quality acts from comedy, poetry, circus, dance, music and illusion.

10th July
Kite Making, Mount Pleasant Park, FREE. Join Matt, the Sharrow Community Ranger, and build your very own kite to take home. Wind not guaranteed!
“Murder, Music and More” with the Sheffield General Cemetery Players and Frozac. Murder Mystery and Chill Out music and activities, Sheffield General Cemetery, FREE . “He Wanted More” 2-4 pm at the Gatehouse. This is an interactive murder mystery in which the audience are invited to question the cast to uncover the clues and unmask the murderer. Family friendly, donations welcome. FroZac presents Shoes off in the Park 2-9pm, on Doorstep Green, barefoot frolics with chilled out tunes and fantastic food from the Treats & Beats Cafe.
