The 9th annual Ruskin Park Fun Day
Saturday 19th June 2010
1pm-6pm
Come and join the fun at Ruskin Park, with live music, food, and entertainment for all the family.
There is live music all afternoon from Sheffield acts including Louis Romegeux, Andrew Duxfield, Captives on the Carousel and St Mary's School band. Hillsborough Hotel will be providing the beer tent with its fantastic range of local and real ales.
This year there will be a craft market, selling everything from jewellery to cards and gifts. Community stalls include Freegle, where everything is free! Plus Transition Towns, Walkley Library and Greentop Circus. There's the opportunity to try your hand at flower arranging with Tracey from Townsend Gardens, and contribute to the Walkly Feral Writers group's project about how Walkley would seem to aliens from outer space.
Activities for children include face painting, bouncy castle and a giant inflatable football pitch! We will also have a real fire engine on site. Art in the Park will be providing art and craft activities for adults and children, and offer the chance to learn some circus skills.
Ruskin Park is in Walkley, between Burgoyne Road and Daniel Hill Street. Bus number 31 takes you there.
Contact admin@artinthepark.org.uk with any questions or to book a stall- it's not too late!
