I am planning to move to a place on Rudyard Road in Hillsborough.

Does anyone have any comments on how good the area is?

The kind of information that I am looking for is like :

Is it well accessible and have available transport to City Centre?

Also, is it peaceful or noisy?

Any other information that you may want to share is also welcome :-)

And are there any good stores around Rudyard Road?

Cheers!

Where about in Hillsboro is it?

I live by Leppings Lane tram stop and apart from match days it's kool and tha gang.

Hell of a lot of kebab shops (whether thats good or bad I dont know), and really really easy to get into town on the tram.

Don't think much to the boozers in HB though - sorry!!

Hi,

My sister lives down Rudyard Road,

The tram stops at the top of the road going in both directions, there are plenty of buses in fact they built a small bus station a couple of years back,

3 major supermarkets
various bank/building societies
opticians/travel agents
Quite a variety of shops, she doesn't need to shop in town or meadowhall very often.

It can be quite busy on match days and if you don't live very far down Rudyard Road it can be a bit noisey when the pubs chuck out

Plenty of fast food/take away places

If you don't like the pubs in the middle of hillsborough it isn't far to find some quieter ones.

Hope this helps, if you need anymore info let me know.
