Do the new leaves have the white too?

With most plants, when a leaf gets damaged, it wont heal back to normal. If all the new leaves are growing white then I would imagine it has some sort of disease. I don't have too much experience with blight, but I don't think it's that.

They could have been caught by the cold, did you harden them off first before planting out? If this is the case then they should eventually pick up a bit especially with the help of the warmer weather this week.

no if they had blight I think they'd be more black - bit early still for blight. Sometimes if it's a hot day and you sprinkle water on the leaf it 'burns' through glass - but not sure about outside.
