Just wondered what people miss about Sheffield, compared with 10 or more years ago? I remember the hole in the road, with the fish tanks??

It's very easy to get bleary eyed about the hole in the road, but it was effectively a large open air toilet/rubbish bin, I don't miss it at all, it should have been called the "s**t hole in the road".

I miss the cinema in Barkers Pool, not because it was a particularly nice building but because I hate the building thats there now with a passion.

I miss Kelvin flats, Hyde Park Norfolk Park Towers, I wish I could have taken my own photos of them, but I will never be able to. From an architectural point, I found them fascinating.

What I don't like nowadays is the fact that cities are losing their identity and are being swamped byt hese 'American' oputlets as I call them.

I miss the buses when they were brown and cream and the clipper bendy bus. And the cheap bus fares!

Also, the fountain at the top of Fargate.

If all these could appear for one day, I'd be down there with my camera!:)
