I'm wanting to sort out my next training course but as these are 8 weeks long, it's going to interfere with the school holidays...

Has anybody got the dates when the holidays start? I may have to consider running a shorter course or try to organise roll on roll off classes to fill in the gaps!

Hi, Our school breaks up 22rd July this year and return on 2nd September, I think most schools are very similar.

Thank you!

It looks like a shorter course then! If anyone is interested in an 8 week course and isn't going on holiday until later in the summer, can they get in touch? I can only organise it if I have enough interest from people who can make it!

Holidays really do make these things difficult!

Hi Sarah

Remind me tomorrow and I'll have a chat with you about it. I'm considering pay as you go classes just for the summer.

Would be Friday evenings though as that's the only time I can use the hall.

Once I've got past the Edale day and moving all my stock to new storage I'm going to look into other venues, enabling more classes on different days.

I don't have kids so not bothered. I am away for 2 weeks in the summer so would miss classes then but tildy is going to Grannys so may ask her if she fancies taking her.

I would be intertested in a drop in class at any time of the year though for longer periods i.e. no set time span i need to socialise Tildy with people rather than dogs.
I also work shifts so attending a course is difficult.

Thanks guys,

I'm actually looking into another venue at the moment that would enable me to continue running PAYG or 'drop in' classes as well as the courses (as many people do prefer the courses).

So will update with a new thread when details are confirmed :)

sounds good lotti - its my OH shifts that prevent me doing a course (which I would have preffered) but need to get my new boy into something to teach him(or is that me!!?? ) a thing or two - look forward to hearing more

I'm struggling :(

I have to look for somewhere else as I can only use the hall until the 6th August and then it's out of use until September

Hi Lotti
I have emailed the address on the website and am really interested in any basic training course around the crooks walkley (even Hillsborough) area starting as soon as possible. We have just got an 18 week border collie/Jack Russell cross and would appreciate some expert guidance before we start to train it. Don't mind whether its drop in or a full course but travelling a long distance for classes might be tricky as "Olly" is very car sick.
