Haven't travelled by train for a while and wondered if anyone knows if there are luggage lockers at stations these days, in particular Lincoln.

I'm not sure you will find lockers at any train station any more, for fear that someone will leave a bomb in one

I used the one at Kings Cross in London last week. £5.50 for 24 hours. The bags were scanned by x-ray. Not Lincoln, I know but they still exist.

There is a similar facility at Liverpool Lime Street

Thanks for your replies. I thought the the high security these days would have affected the service.

According to this page there is no left luggage at Lincoln

http://www.centraltrains.co.uk/_popups/stations/station_details.asp?id=lincoln

but there IS a lost property desk - I wonder if some people get around this by handing their stuff in, claiming it as being stuff they have found, and then collect it later by claiming they lost it [only a 2 quid fee !]

:P
