ALTOGETHER NOW: DJ Sammy
Baby you're all that I want.
When you're lying here in my arms
I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven.
Oh, thinking about all our younger years,
There was only you and me,
We were young and wild and free.
Now nothing can take you away from me.
We’ve been down that road before,
But that's over now.
You keep me coming back for more.
Baby you're all that I want.
When you're lying here in my arms
I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven.
And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart.
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven.
No, nothing could change what you mean to me.
There's a lot that I could say
But just hold me now,
Cause our love will light the way.
Baby you're all that I want.
When you're lying here in my arms
I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven.
And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart.
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven.
Now our dreams are coming true.
Through the good times and the bad
I'll be standing there by you.
(We’re in heaven.)
And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart.
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven.
:D
The original was Heaven by Bryan Adams.
lexatron 12-09-2005, 17:07 the dancey version was by DJ Sammy but the one you're thinking of [i think] was the one on the b side of the single which was called the candlelight remix or something to that effect
mikeyspikey 12-09-2005, 17:30 yeah thats the one!--the candlelight remix--a slower version!-dj sammy b side.
found this info
"The haunting "Heaven (Candlelight Mix)" consists of vocalist Do (Dominique Van Hulst) accompanied solely by a soft piano. Available exclusively on DJ Sammy's debut album, also titled Heaven, the number is a moving, emotional interpretation that's both poignant and powerful"

My friend got married last month and her friend sang that in the church while they were signing the register. They also had it (DJ Sammy Candlelight mix) as their first dance, it was lovely
:-D
Just listening to the song now for the first time- what a beautiful remix :)
eddyrainbow 12-09-2005, 20:15 What a crappy stuff! :gag:
Thankyou all for your help
Will try the B side of the DJ sammy one.
Jimmy565 13-09-2005, 10:29 What? DJ Sammy? were you people born yesterday?
Not that I'm a fan of his is any way shape or form but "Heaven" was a song for Phil Collins back in the 80s. DJ Sammy covered it with the dance version and the girl that sang it got loads of recognition so she wanted to put out a "nice" version with her singing properly - the candlelight remix.
I only know all this because I used to run a mobile disco business - i'm not a fan of cruddy pop music before you ask!
anyway try and get hold of the Phil Collins version - its a right laugh!
Just had a listen. Deeply vile and nauseatingly sloppy in the extreme. Apologies to all you romantics out there (madowl, you know who you are!)...

Im not a fan of "soppy" music myself more a rnb fan but i cant really have rnb playing while we sign the registar so i thought that heaven would be a good choice.

daiseeduc 27-06-2006, 00:53 hey I found the slow version or at least a woman singing that song slow, not a man or sheman. Ok how to get it. Go to myspace.com and click on music in the options bar on the screen. then type in dj sammy. go down six to the song that has bottles for a picture. then click on that and there's the song that you can listen to or download._cd

The song was written by, and entered the charts for Bryan Adams (http://www.secondhandsongs.com/song/254.html) in 1984 - not sure where you've got Phil Collins from?
Unless you're thinking of this one? (http://www.lyricsvault.net/songs/5145.html)
