I have just started to re read the "Flowers in the attic" collection again after many years, the only problem is I cannot get hold of the 2nd one "seeds of yesterday"

Does anyone have a copy I could beg,borrow or buy off them.

Have you tried the library? You could always borrow it?

I know sugarnspice and possibly other people are try to be helpful, but to stop any unnessary posting,

The library doesn't have a copy and said I could order it but it could take up several weeks, :sad:

I have tried various charity shops, :sad:

And I have also tried the 2nd hand books stalls in the market. :sad:

I could buy it new but I am too tight :blush:

Basically I have almost finished the first book and want to get on to the 2nd one ASAP, but after trying various avenues I am stuck,

I was hoping one of the good members on here could help me out,

Well I don't have it myself but could maybe bid on it on your behalf if you like? I understand the desperation to read a book. I'm always hunting books too!

Ive read the whole series Seeds of Yesterday is the last one u need to read Petals in the Wind & if There b Thorns first :thumbsup:

Petals on the wind is the 2nd one and Seeds of yesterday is the last (I'm getting confused) so

Flowers in the Attic - Got
Petals on the wind - Need
If there be thorns - Got
Seeds of yesterday - Need

Have I got them in the right order btbwild , and if you have read them do you still have them.

The Casteel Saga is fantastic when you've finished those...

First one is Heaven.

I used to love Virginia Andrews when I was younger... even the ones that were written in her name by a ghost writer after she died were great... (Dawn, Ruby etc...)

I loved My Sweet Audrina...

Petals on the Wind is the best in the that particular series though...

I though my Sweet Audrina was to pridictable & sadly sussed it far to early which spoilt it for me :(

I love this series too. Once you've read, Flowers in the Attic, Petals on the wind, If there be thorns and seeds of yesterday, you should read Garden of Shadows. Garden of Shadows is about Olivia, the Grandmothers past. It explains a lot about why she is like she is. A couple of twists and turns that you dont expect as well.
I've got Petals on the wind and If there be thorns. I'd be willing to lend them to you. I've also got Garden of Shadows if you'd like to borrow that as well.

Ooops got it wrong the family hired a man to ghost write some just been on Google just typed in Virginia Andrews & it brought up alsorts including some photo's & facts about her :)
Also lists of books if anyone is interested :)

Garden of Shadows is from the Grand Mothers point of view. Its about when she met Malcolm and had her kids. Its really good, you dont expect to start feeling sorry for her but you do. I'll not tell you too much though or it'll spoil it. Out of the series, garden of Shadows is probably my favourite.

The Heaven series is really good, i think it goes. Heaven then Dark Angel and I think there is a third in the series.

I haven't read them for years, think i'll have to read them all again soon.

Isn't it Andrew Niederman who writes them now as 'the new Virginia Andrews'? He had a few books out under his own name years ago, I think there was one called Pin for example.

god i remember reading the heaven and flowers in the attic series when i was 12! i might still have them all in the loft, will be packing in next few weeks so if i find them you can have them! they'll be old but readable, let me know if you still need them!

Why not set up an ebay or amazon account?
If you truly get hooked on Virginia Andrews, the only easy place to get the new ghostwritten stuff is amazon. So, considering you can get 1st class delivery on new or second hand goods on there - I'd recommend it!

Thank you to everyone for their tips, another forum member has offered to lend me a copy so I'm sorted, but I think I might have to get an E Bay account for future purchases.
