Hi there, I'm after a bit of advice on whether to move in to a flat.
It's on Lady's bridge, (between Bridge Street and The Wicker), just by the river in view of the holiday inn.
(very near the Metris ones being built if you know the area).

Really cool flat and pretty near the city centre, but the road it's on doesn't seem the best (it's the one with all the takeaways etc).

If I leave my car in that area, is it gonna be safe?
Or should I go for a flat in Ranmoor?

Please give me some advice on the area as I need to make a call on it pretty quickly! Thanks a lot.

You won’t get parked if you don't have a dedicated parking space with the flat, you'll have to leave the car a fair distance from you flat if that's the case.

From experience, leaving your car unattended in this area is a bad idea! Go for Ranmoor.

I think its luck as much as anything else, and also what type of car you have. I live in Burngreave and have never had any problems with my car and neither have any of my friends. On the other hand when I lived in Netheredge, a mate popped round as he had finaly got a car, by the time we went out to look at it the car had gone!
You would need a real space though I think as there is not much on street parking down near the Wicker. You might be best to look around the area and see what parking options are available.

I used to live in these flats and would advise you to go for the Ranmoor one.
The traffic on Lady's Bridge is incessantly noisy (like living on a traffic island). The pollution is atrocious (all your possessions will be covered in a black layer of grime). The river attracts huge numbers of flies and midges particularly in summer.
Which floor would you be on? as the water pressure on the top floor is poor
However, being so close to the centre is excellent and the flats are fairly nice.

I walked past Jet Centro on Sunday and everyone had their washing out drying on the balconies (very classy, looked a bit like a San Paulo tennament), next to one fo the busyest roads in Sheffield, their washing will be black when they bring it in.

Had the same problem on regent court, at hillsbourgh. even with the windows shut the black grime would seep in and get on everything... thats the problem with living ontop of a main road.

It costs an incredible £500 a month to rent a bedsit (sorry, "Smartpad") in Jet Centro. Absolute madness!

Money, money, money i guess.

I certainly agree that its in a very bad location. I guess people must like the stunning view on to the dual carrigeway!

BTW: I'd take that flat in Ranmoor.
