Mod: This thread went seriously off topic previously, and was in very bad taste. Feel free to resume discussion, but please stay on topic, and remember this is a family forum.

In addition, please remember not to post anything that could prejudice any police investigation or trial.

Thanks.

The adudicator was spot on, thread had gone way off topic, not your fault SV500.

Well, not heard owt in line of gossip, nothing at all in Star, so guess there's something serious afoot. Cops keep very quiet when there's an investigation, unless there's a press release, thats when everyone gets to know whats going on.

Maybe the death was of natural causes...man walking dog has sudden heart attack etc

A natural death of a dog walker near where I lived a few years ago raised interest amongst neighbours but was never reported on the news or in the local paper.

Any death is tragic but if it not suspicious it rarely gets media coverage!

two people tell of a body being taken away from the stone bridge area at the buterthwaite road entrance, that runs up through the allotments throught to High Greave.

Not heard any more but the above info is from fairly reliable sources and I am told that their are flowers on the bridge. so somone somewhere must know about it.

Could be (speculates here) some one who has not had good news or is having a troubled time. Life is bad if itt is coming to this way out for people, It gets depresing to think how some peoples lives must be so bad to push them towards premature ending of it, Not saying that it is someone taking their own life ,but initial comments appear that way.

to the MODS sorry about going off the track its a sheffield thing, we talk forever about nowt and come back round tuit eventally.

This is speculation but i think if it was anything serious like a rape and murder victim for example wouldnt us locals have seen a bit more police activity. Im guessing its something like a drug user has took a OD or like the previous 2 posters have said someone has topped themselves or its a dog walker for example has just dropped dead.

i received this email today from the sheffield star,

.................................................. ................................................

AN inquest is to be opened tomorrow (Wed) into the death of a man found hanging from a tree in Ecclesfield.
The body - of a 26-year-old man, from the Lincolnshire area - was discovered in a woodland area off Cross Hill by a man out walking at 6.50am on Friday.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
.................................................. ..................................................

my sympathies go to the family of the young man involved,
a terrible waste,
i feel rather sad right now,

Such a waste of a young life...why do so many people feel so desperate to take their own lives!

My thoughts are with his family and friends!

It was a 26 year old male who was origanally from th PX area, moved to lincs then came back. Obviously this is a very tough time for his family ( he was related to my partner) and friends so hopefully this this will put the record straight and he can now rest in peace
