I've had msn messenger 7 for a while now and i've just not been able to use it. The problem is as follows: i log on and within 5 seconds it closes itself down. There are no error messages.

I've a 2.66 processor and my OS is xp.

I've tried everything (i know) to sort it, including getting rid of windows messenger.

The strange thing is whenever i delete it and re-install it, the first time i log onto msn it works, but as soon as i exit and open it again the problem carries on.

have you tried new msn 7.5 version?

Do you have your firewall on?

Try turing it of for a second and logging into msn.

If this work then you will need to configure your windows firewall or what ever firewall you use to allow messenger through it.
