I have been trying for ages to do a ripple blanket for Nanna so I bought chunky wool thinking that I would do it more quickly by doing squares for it. I tried to do the ripple again in DK and it worked Yay!! then tried it with the chunky wool and it went all wrong, my question is to do a ripple blanket does it need to be in DK or is it my technique? ;)

Where is the pattern form Moonfire? If we could see the pattern we may be able to help you more.

It's just a basic wave stitch that's from Rowan Workshop Crochet book. Ive not got any pictures and the patterns that I found on the internet seem to be American and nothing like what I'm doing. It's chain groups of 14 + 2. :)
