Posted this topic a couple of days ago and got some good info. I've just bought a 160gb Seagate from ebuyer for £59.

What you need is RAM, DDR, all depends on what motherboard you have though as to which you will need

at a guess it will be DDR333 or pc2700 :) most motherboards are really

What do you need all these pieces for?

amd is the cpu or processor you have :)

at a guess i would say ddr333 though, as this is the most popular one used, try the website i sent you about the hard drives and just do a search for ddr333 and then how many MB of memory you want - 128/256/512 :)

try to find out the motherboard you have. If you have taken apart your computer, you will be able to see it's details printed on the circuit board somewhere. Post here and we can tell you which bits will be suitable ;)

It's best not to guess.;)

sorry, miss read this. Your MB packed in and you need memory and a drive. You just have the processor?

What else did you salvage:(

The memory you need will depend on your new MB.

Do you know the processor is OK? Loosing an MB, Ram and drives sound like a serious PSU failure to me.
