I left HH in april 1966 at age 15 n half n lived on the new estatate at top of jenkin rd

Hinde house was a good school all in all n I dont regret any of the time I spent there

Does anyone know what happened to Andrew Civico.....I think he returned later as a Teacher?....and Glyn Senior.....I believe he went to Japan....got married ...had a couple of kids?


Also ........does anyone Know if the Richardsons still have the Hardware Store on Firth Park Road..at Firth Park......Michael Richardson was a good friend of mine....
...and do the Spencers still have the butchers shop neat door to the Richardsons?

Hi Ozgirl, was at Hucklow rd btwn 1954 and 1961, didnt go to Hinde House but my sister did, shes 5 yrs older than me so you probably wont know her but my friend who lived next door but 1 to me and who is 2 yrs older than me went to Hinde House and Hucklow Rd, my name is Carol Coddington and her name is Wendy Johnson

i remember wendy johnson,sure she used to go to firth park methodist sunday school and was a blades fan!!

Yep, I went to Sunday school with her sometimes and am also a huge blades fan. Used to work for them in the development office in the days of Tony Currie, Alan Birchenall and the rest.

remember wendy being part of the blades golden girls team!
sure she rode a pony or summat similar at half-time once.

......it's been a long time........this brings back a few memories.
I found the Sheffield Forum a couple of weeks ago....there was a posting describing my first day at Hucklow road Junior Shool.....strange.
Yeah....that guitar playing got me into all kinds of trouble...........
.........bit like the Army in a few ways.........you get to travel a lot ....**** people of in strange lands...over indulge in booze and women.....
....and at the end of it...have a whole bunch of stories.
Badly hurt my right knee some years back....that's slowed me down a bit.
Left Sheffield for London...then France (plus a lot of traveling all over the place).....been living in Los Angeles California for quite a few years now.

i ozgirl i think i got the wrong christine the christine i was thinking about was christine broad if you remember eileen,& walt you may remember a lad called jimmy loukes& my brother chris evans they were all at huck about the same time.

I spent some happy hours in Wharncliffe when I lived on lilac road just off windmill lane that was when I was still married I left there when I left my husband in 1979. Didn't know that jim had another brother I think Carol went to school with me my name then was Pauline Newton I lived on Calder Way just behind hucklow road school

Is that the Christopher Evans who was blonde and lived on The Oval. I sat next to him at Hucklow Road. He nipped my arm. I also remember Elizabeth Duckenfield and Janet Cooper. Elizabeth had long plaits down to her waist. I was there from 57 to 64. Denise Nichols. Did Pauline Newton have red hair?
