Looking for help if possible.

I have been offered a council house on chippinghouse Road (S8) but have no information on its present situation, for instance whats it like at night, does traffic noise effect you?, is their a neighbourhood watch, i have been told it is a red light area, is this true are cars a nuisance.

The area is bottom side nearer to Heeley up to Abbrydale Road.

Chippinghouse rd is Ok, depends how close to the main rd its for noise. Didnt know there was nay council houses on there, its close to all amenities. Check it out.

Thats the cheaper end of Chippinghouse Rd (nice big houses on the other section). There is Athena Sauna on the corner but I am not aware that any prostitutes lurk around there. The area is generally ok, some of my old student friends lived there - its near to town and theres lots of small shops along Abbeydale Rd.

I have lived on Chippinghouse Road,at the bottom end,for 21 years,as some of my neighbours also have,some of us have bought our council houses,its very handy for shops,buses and town,its not a red light area,and the Athena Sauna was on the corner of Wolsley Road not this one and its been closed down for over a year,I think its being made into flats.the only problem some people have is parking.so come on down !! and Good Luck.

could anyone tell me what this area is like as i am going to look at a house on chipping house road tomorrow.is it ok for kids?
we are not from sheffield,we are relocating from whitby.
