I was watering my newly earthed up spuds when two moles crashed out of the top of the ridge locked in combat .They rolled into the dip still scrapping and seemed oblivious to the astonished onlooker.I separated them with a squirt of water and they disappeared without a trace.I think I have a large colony on my allotment,judging from the number of holes in my beds.Is this good news ? Do they eat slugs ?

I think they mostly eat Earthworms..
