is flash intros really worth all the bother? ok im sure if you sit there and watch it might be quite funky looking.
but lets be honest....we all just press SKIP INTRO as soon as we find the button dont we :)
all those years at graphic design....and we skip past there masterpiece....shame on us all!
website 'doorways' are a scourge on the web!
If I come across a site and am greeted by such a doorway I dont click 'skip' I click 'back' :P

Flash can be useful on a website, just not in the intro, when you don't even know if you're in the right place yet. I'm using the web in search of information and this stuff just slows me down.
My ******* disables flash content until I decide I want play it, which is not very often.
I don't believe it's useful at all.
You have, typically, 10 seconds at most to grab people's attention when they enter your URL. If it takes longer than that, or people have to wade through some Flash who's sole aim seems to be to advertise the fact that the web site developer knows Flash, then people are likely to go elsewhere.
Avoid it!
