View Full Version : Britains Got Talent - did you see the man swallowing things?
hodgepodge 31-05-2010, 19:12 Did anyone see Britians got Talent tonight, How did that man do it? he swallowed a lightbulb....then regurgitated it back. Then he swallowed Amanda's ring, then a padlock, then a key then regurgitated them all back with the ring attached to the padlock.
How did he do it?:gag:
:gag::gag::gag: I just could not watch it.
hodgepodge 31-05-2010, 19:35 I wish I had sky so I could watch it again, in slow motion:gag::gag:

Bleugh....... He bugs me out :gag:
cheesemaster 31-05-2010, 19:40 josh should wrap his top lip over his big head,
it would be more entertaining than his singing.

he swallowed a smurf before he came on and it was that who did the lock and ring thing.
alternatively, he's a very good stage magician
CorkerSWFC 31-05-2010, 20:05 Magician all day long, i don't know how he did it but i can safely say now he wont have done it inside his gut lol.
He could do well to be fair to him.
hodgepodge 31-05-2010, 20:15 but I saw him swallow a light bulb:huh:
andyofborg 31-05-2010, 20:53 but I saw him swallow a light bulb:huh:
that's why its magic :)
pattricia 31-05-2010, 21:11 The guy sawing up the wood was ridiculous! How did he get through to semis ?
cheesemaster 31-05-2010, 21:29 The guy sawing up the wood was ridiculous! How did he get through to semis ?
and yet the samuri sword man didn't get through.
hodgepodge 31-05-2010, 21:39 The guy sawing up the wood was ridiculous! How did he get through to semis ?
I've no idea, it made me laugh though:)
CorkerSWFC 31-05-2010, 22:01 Didn't you all think him also coughing a mobile phone up as they gave his voting number gave it away ?
pattricia 31-05-2010, 22:42 Didn't you all think him also coughing a mobile phone up as they gave his voting number gave it away ?
I didnt think that trick was very good.
well the ring obv isnt actually amandas wedding ring.. he had swallowed a ring exactly the same as amandas fake one with a lock already on it. then he just swallowed the key, ring and lock and brought up the other key with the lock already on it and the key. he cant have unlocked and locked the lock and got the ring on it by using his insides. and amanda wouldnt put her actaull wedding ring down his throat. when he came off stage he brought up the origonal ring and lock seperate.
tallanddopey 01-06-2010, 07:56 ive seen him live, and the ring trick is real (or at least i just cant work out how he did it.). he took 5 rings from girls in the audiance and swallowed them one by one. we then shouted out which number ring we wanted on the padlock which he promptly did.
Grandad.Malky 01-06-2010, 08:20 ive seen him live, and the ring trick is real (or at least i just cant work out how he did it.). he took 5 rings from girls in the audiance and swallowed them one by one. we then shouted out which number ring we wanted on the padlock which he promptly did.
Its not for me to burst your bubble but have you ever heard of using a stooge.
HelloMan 01-06-2010, 12:34 I would have rather he got through ahead of the dancer, would have been interesting to see what he did next.
BananaSplit 01-06-2010, 13:32 I didn't rate Tobias much.
But speaking of dancers, Diversity were absolutely spectacular! Mesmerising to watch!
pattricia 01-06-2010, 13:48 I would have rather he got through ahead of the dancer, would have been interesting to see what he did next.
The mind boggles !
Ousetunes 01-06-2010, 14:28 I can imagine him saying "I downed a whole bottle of Vodka last night" and then throwing it back up, literally.
Quite a clean, environmentally friendly way of being sick really.
Prisca-Zia 01-06-2010, 16:16 well the ring obv isnt actually amandas wedding ring.. he had swallowed a ring exactly the same as amandas fake one with a lock already on it. then he just swallowed the key, ring and lock and brought up the other key with the lock already on it and the key. he cant have unlocked and locked the lock and got the ring on it by using his insides. and amanda wouldnt put her actaull wedding ring down his throat. when he came off stage he brought up the origonal ring and lock seperate.
You're contradicting yourself. You said "amanda wouldnt put her actaull wedding ring down his throat" then you said "when he came off stage he brought up the origonal ring and lock seperate" well how can he have brought up the ring afterwards if she wouldn't let him actually swallow her ring!!
It was pretty amazing though!! I don't understand how he does it but it certainly isn't "magic" as some people have suggested because there's no such thing!!
But it's very clever, if a little disgusting.. :/ xx
Paul2412 01-06-2010, 19:45 I don't usually mind this, but every time I turn it on its some dreadful crap that would be right at home at Eurovision. How 90% of the "acts" got through to the semi finals I'll never know...
hodgepodge 01-06-2010, 19:59 Tonight was particually bad.......
millhouses24 01-06-2010, 20:50 I'm really good at swallowing things I should be on this programme .
pattricia 01-06-2010, 21:01 The dog got through then did it ? (I was busy)
I only saw the guy chopping wood and laughed so much I needed to get out my asthma inhaler.
donuticus 01-06-2010, 22:04 Stevie Starr used to do a trick where he swallowed live goldfish and then regurgitated them in an order the audience called out.
(they were different colours before anyone asks how you told them apart)
They could pair up, that Sean guy could chop wood into bits and Stevie could regurgitate them (and the chopper as well)
metalman 02-06-2010, 09:48 I'm sure there used to be an act years ago where the guy swallowed a load of needles, then some thread, and then regurgitated them all threaded on.
donuticus 02-06-2010, 11:06 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment_and_arts/10212687.stm
Personally if people are daft enough to try it at home I have very little sympathy for them.
IT'S ENTERTAINMENT AND A VERY CLEVER TRICK. Pillocks.
yes I have seen the swallowing things
and its quiet tricky especially the coin number
how did he do it?
its quiet risky and yet entertaining and amazing to look
CaptainSwing 02-06-2010, 12:06 There was a guy called Chaz Chase who used to do this act, many years ago. He used to be a bit of a regular on The Good Old Days (a 1970s BBC TV programme that tried to recreate an Edwardian music hall).
slimsid2000 02-06-2010, 15:37 Britains got talent - don't make me laugh. I saw some of this bilge last night and talent it was not. It was won by a performing dog. He narrowly beat a 5th rate Michael jackson tribute act, a potty transvestite and a bloke who looked like a cross between Dale Winton and Craig Revel-Horwood.

You should be an expert summariser.
andyofborg 02-06-2010, 18:04 You should be an expert summariser.
he should be on it, he might get a groupie or two

Why you didn't join then? :D
I must say, that comedian is very good! I hope he wins, because he is the only one who has properly entertained me so far.
musicman185 03-06-2010, 12:43 Personally I think that it is great to see other acts rather than singers and dancers on Britain's got talent. I think it is a little unfair that singers get a shot at Britain's got Talent when they have the X factor too. And I say this as a singer! Leave it to the variety acts. But maybe I am the only one that feels this way!
funkymiss 03-06-2010, 14:33 I must say, that comedian is very good! I hope he wins, because he is the only one who has properly entertained me so far.
Oh come on, what about madonna? ;)
slimsid2000 03-06-2010, 14:38 There was a bloke on last night doing some awful drag act that would just about make the grade in a third rate Blackpool nightclub if they were dersperate.
rosieadamson 03-06-2010, 17:16 this guy is amazing, i just couldnt take my eyes off him as he was swallowing these things, would love to know how he did it
Spellbound should win, hands down the most talented.
pitsmoorlad 03-06-2010, 18:46 AAAAAAAAAARRRRRGHHHHHH Please please please, no more bl00dy dance acts,
andyofborg 03-06-2010, 19:18 AAAAAAAAAARRRRRGHHHHHH Please please please, no more dance acts,
we want more dance acts
So not to ruin it for anyone but can anyone actually explain to me how the swallower man actually did it??
Trout_Basher 03-06-2010, 21:52 So not to ruin it for anyone but can anyone actually explain to me how the swallower man actually did it??
Ever heard of 'Palming' ? ;)
hodgepodge 04-06-2010, 22:20 Ever heard of 'Palming' ? ;)
We saw him swallow the lightbulb, it was not in his palm (if thats what palming means)
Tonight was terrible, and last night come to think of it.....was that drummer really any good?
cheesemaster 05-06-2010, 00:29 terrible outcome today, and yesterday.
and no the drummers not that good, but he's got the george samson he come back after last year backstory, it means the world to him bla de blah blah.
and the viewing public lap up that rubbish.
Spellbound should win, hands down the most talented.
same here. I like spellbound and my  will be only to him.
HAHAHA just kidding..
bow down for speLLbound
kenny gray 05-06-2010, 07:41 britain may have had talent at one time but we are surely among the dregs now?time the show came to a graceful end as know its just a case of the so called judges who have no talent between them trying to upstage each other.

I agree I could not believe what they said about Granny Janie,I was cringing listening to her tonight it is cruel for an old lady to be put through that I know it was her choice to enter but lets face what was she going to do at her age and she was terrible.
CorkerSWFC 05-06-2010, 20:54 wrong winners in my opinion.
Kingmaker2 05-06-2010, 20:54 terrible outcome today, and yesterday.

Yep there definitely should be a rule that you can't enter twice, if everyone did that we'd all get the same old acts time and time again.
As for the drummer boy, I'm with you, I fail to see why the judges liked him or the public voted for him.
Playing drums to a sound track wasn't especially a great talent.
If you want to show of your drumming talent then do a drum solo with no soundtrack playing, then If he can hold the audience then you might see some talent, but what this young chap did was the drumming equivalent of Karaoke, most half decent young boys learning the drums could have produced similar results.
Kingmaker2 05-06-2010, 20:59 wrong winners in my opinion.
From what I caught of the acts it seems to me that this was one of the weakest fields of all the Britain's Got Talent finals show.
Remember Escala?
They finished outside the top 3 but they would have wiped the floor against most of tonight's acts.
missflirtuk 05-06-2010, 21:10 The wrong people won, for one they didn't spell 'spell' correctly and for number 2 TWIST & PULSE should have won. They were the best from the start in my opinion. They did something that did show pure talent.
pattricia 05-06-2010, 21:14 I agree I could not believe what they said about Granny Janie,I was cringing listening to her tonight it is cruel for an old lady to be put through that I know it was her choice to enter but lets face what was she going to do at her age and she was terrible.
Im glad someone agrees with me as I feel the same.

I wanted the dog to win.
patrick38 05-06-2010, 21:16 who won???
As for the drummer boy, I'm with you, I fail to see why the judges liked him or the public voted for him.
The drumming was not relevant, it was the spaceship stage.
George Sampson won because his routine had the wow factor. It wasn't his dancing, which was average. it was the fact he danced in the rain, to singing in the rain, indoors. That makes it cool.
Now drumming is nice but not very exciting just watching it on his own. Stages are only meant to stay in one place, one going up, down, sideways gave it the wow factor.
Spellbound rightly won. Not great to watch on TV - too much going on and the camera can't follow everything - but must be awesome to watch. All the others were just very average - the dog was poor, the singers were just cabaret and even Tobias Mead was doing nothing special.
Twist and Pulse were also average but I can see why people like them. They are different. They need to do a Stavros Flately quick and milk their fame, as they won't be around in a couple of years as the next dance thing will have come along.
oh and the Regurgitator is a magic trick.
I've not watch all the clips but I do know the guy was on the Paul Daniels show in the 80s.
dieselbabe 05-06-2010, 22:12 I wanted Kieran (the drummer lad) to win last year has well has this year. Maybe because i love drumming also. But his stage act was nothing new just like drumming to music is not new. My idol Travis Barker did the same act on tour, but his stage went upside down wile he played along to well known songs. Just reminded me of a lill barker when his stage raised. He is good drummer for his age.

Tommy lee of the Motley Crue, done the whole spinning upside down drumming years ago.
Tommy lee of the Motley Crue, done the whole spinning upside down drumming years ago.
But that's the beauty of Britain's Got Talent and 18 million viewers - for people like me who have never seen Motley Crue it is a new experience for us. I'm sure along the line someone has danced in the rain inside before.

But then if the kids serious about drumming, he needs to forget about gimmicks at his age, and practise....hard
metalman 06-06-2010, 08:07 They were all the sort of acts that you might see at the Royal Variety Performance; I'll leave you to decide whether that's complimentary or derogatory! Felt a bit sorry for the old dear who fluffed it though.
who won???
Spelbound won, Twist and Pulse, who i thought were fab were 2nd.
Kingmaker2 06-06-2010, 16:51 The drumming was not relevant, it was the spaceship stage.
George Sampson won because his routine had the wow factor. It wasn't his dancing, which was average. it was the fact he danced in the rain, to singing in the rain, indoors. That makes it cool.
So did the drummer boy make the spaceship stage too?
If he he did that might merit a few more votes but seeing as though he didn't I still can't grasp how he could be seen as really that especially talented.
As for George Sampson, I don't think it did have the "Wow" factor, it was a well rehearsed routine that lots of young people, especially teenage girls really liked.
Gene Kelly danced in the "rain" decades ago, and much of Sampson routine was copied from a Volkswagen advert!
charlie9865 07-06-2010, 17:54 I to was amazed and wondered how he did it!!
I was gutted Tobias Mead or Twist and Pulse never won they was good.

Well thats certainly put Gene Krupa ,Buddy Rich, Sandy Nelson etc firmly in their place
April :) 11-06-2010, 10:11 Spellbound were professionals anyway, its a bit like beyonce winning the x-factor. Twist and pulse deserved it.
piphoney 14-06-2010, 22:27 Talented but so wrong
lilminxymoo 15-06-2010, 12:45 couldn't watch it:loopy:
EarL-lad 15-06-2010, 20:02 I also remember seeing him some years ago on the tv,must have been the paul daniels show.been wondering were:roll:
Ginger53 16-06-2010, 22:19 If you liked the pole lady - you know the one that I mean, the contortionist with muscles of steel - you might want to check out the next Burly Q night at Bar Abbey
Edd Muir will be performing his very unique pole routine and it is well worth a look.
Check out the Burly Q website for further info.
http://www.burlyq.co.uk/
In fact, if you like talent, check out the next show as there is plenty of it.
ellimayxxxx 19-06-2010, 10:40 he said to have 2 stomachs

bigarms10 01-07-2010, 18:01 the magic man was good at wt he did

Me too, he swallowed a mini Rubik's Cube and completed the puzzle in his stomach before puking it back up.
I wonder how many pros actually audition for Britain's Got Talent, I saw Mr Methane (the farter) on one show?
