View Full Version : WWE at Sheffield Arena
Anyone get tickets today for Raw or Smackdown ?
Tickets went on sale at 09.00, I got there at 08.15 but there was already about 200 there !! I still didn't get to the ticket office counter until 12.55.
Nearly 5 hours in the rain queueingwith my 9 year old son ! The arena is a joke.
Some had been camping there since Tuesday.
I wanted to go and watch Raw as it always looks great on Sky when its being aired from the UK.
Who are you looking forward to seeing then John?
Cardinal 11-09-2005, 16:08 Got tickets for both nights. A few of us going. ;)

I went to the arena once to watch the WWE, when the British Bulldog came.. the atmosphere was electric when he came out!
Absolutely fantastic.

I think someone is stealing my thunder here!
I got the tickets through a mate at the arena - sorry, John66 - we got row 119 for Raw, and Row 19(!) for Smackdown, £30 per person per show, excellent value for Smackdown!
I want to see Angle, Carlito, HBK, Flair, Christian, Benoit and any Divas in a state of undress
I'd love it (LOVE IT!) if Taker and or Hogan bothered their arses, but I know it's unlikely.
how can i find out if any tickets left? :(

I got mine through a contact at the Arena, so I got a bit of a deal.
It'll be years before they come back for a TV taping, so don't sweat it. Go and enjoy yourself.

www.wweeuroshop.com
It's their official store in England, means you don't pay such high shipping costs
MagicBert 15-09-2005, 15:13 After 3 hours solid trying to get through on the phones Saturday morning I did get through, and got disabled seating for both shows :D
They're at the top of the first tier, just near the doors where you go in to get to the seats...brilliant views from there!
*happy* The atmosphere's gonna rock. I went to Smackdown in Manchester last year and there's really nothing like it! The TV shows are in a different league to the ordinary un-taped events too :)
can i jus ask you guys, how long did it take you guys to get your tickets? or have u got them yet?

My tickets were bought on the Saturday and arrived on the Tuesday.
This, however, was down to my friend at the box office sending them to me straight away.
It's normal for there to be a delay in receiving them, but if you are worried, call the box office.

Sandra1961 01-10-2005, 01:42 My 14yr old daughter adores the WWE.
She watches it whenever its on, no matter what time its aired.
She dreamed of seeing them, but the ticket prices are outrageous, and i couldnt afford it.
maybe next year...

They did say to me on the phone they'd be sent out in about 4 weeks, so i'm not too worried that I've not got mine yet...

Do you mean BBC Radio 2?
I've never heard of radio2xs?
MagicBert 09-11-2005, 21:21 No. 2XS was right. Didn't Jeff Cooper once of Hallam FM used to run this?

I'm going to RAW on Monday night, successfully booked them on the first day of sale, got through at 9 AM that morning.
We recieved our tickets in the post a few weeks ago.
I would've booked for Smackdown as well but I can't afford £60 on 2 sets of tickets, and I already go out on Tuesdays anyway.
Well, it looks like you've missed out on the chance to see the title change hands at Smackdown.
Obviously I wish the circumstances weren't as sad, but I'll be very happy if I see the belt won by somebody.
So, what did everyone think?

Thought it was okay actually, quite a decent show. It's always difficult when you actually attend a TV taping though, as the show can seem quite disjointed.
Looking forward to Smackdown! later. I just hope they don't give the title to Orton....please god no!!

That was pretty funny, you wouldn't expect Angle, of all people, to fluff his lines.
The tide is turning big time with Cena though. I don't think it will be long before he turns heel again.
Anyway - I'm off home to get showered, prepare some special snacks and head to the Arena.
Enjoy it if you're going along tonight mate!
I thought RAW was pretty good last night, only downside to seeing it live though were the long breaks where nothing happened which were of course the breaks for the adverts on TV :(
diskoheaven 22-11-2005, 19:04 My fiance went, and he loved it!
Sorry to those of you that couldn't get tickets, but I got him one by the side of the ramp/pretty near the rig for £25 inc postage on ebay last wk, and the face value was £60! What a bargain!

Rich, Raw was a poor show mate, and those breaks weren't to fit the adverts. The WWE was taking libs with the fact they weren't producing a truly live show.
Ironically, Smackdown was filmed as live, all the way through. The matches were better, and the crowd stayed with them because they weren't killed by the breaks. We even had time to go for a pint as the show finished at 10.30!
Smackdown was awesome last night, to the point of embarassing Raw.
(This from someone who saw himself as a Raw fan up until last night)

Try and get to London in April then!!!
:)
MagicBert 23-11-2005, 10:59 Agreed. Smackdown was MUCH better than Raw last night.
Mr Kennedy ......... KENNEDY was SO over. People were shouting it in town long after the event had finished. Classic!
Great 2 nights though!
Cardinal 23-11-2005, 11:05 Aye, just to add my voice to the SD was better than Raw debate. The 'continuity' last night meant that the crowd stayed involved and didn't get bored. Some good matches/action on both night and agree re: Kennedy (although I found the end of his match with Matt a little disappointing).
Top stuff all round, especially a little lad of about 10 near me and my mates who was joining in the chant of "we want puppies"!! ;)
(I should add that me and my mates were not participating in that chant!!)

Kennedyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

Cardinal 23-11-2005, 11:09 Oh yeah, I think it's safe to say that the Cena backlash started in Sheff big style!! ;)
AtticusFinch 23-11-2005, 11:18 I disagree, I thought that Raw was the better of the two. Although the Smackdown crowd was quite hot, I didn't think the ending got the pop that it should have done, especially considering the surrounding story line. On Raw however, there was a real buzz when Batista came out at the very end.
Mr Kennedy was very over though. One of my best memories of the two nights was waiting for the tram after Smackdown. I was stood on the city centre side, and from the other side came a group of guys shouting "Miiisttteerrrrrrrr Kenneddddyyyyyyyyy". From the far end of my platform then came the reply "Kennnneddddyyyyyyyy" from someone else. :D
