I think it's £2 each if they're good ones, nice if you have loads to get rid of and it's better than chucking them in bin.:)

Cash converts is shut, cahs exchange near Wilkinsons is open but they sell all CD's for 1.99 so don''t think you will be getting much for them!

cash Xchange was next to Jacobs, just off the Moor, it was always pretty poor anyway.

There's a "Cash Generator" opposite Wilkos down Castle Market Way. Yellow and blue store, next to Burger King I think....

why don't you try to ebay them in lots rather than selling them individually- prob make more money that way!

There are a few places to sell CDs, Jacks on division st is one i can remember the name of.
But also one up Broomhall and one off Ecclesall road (on a side st, left as you go towards the park)
Or list them on the for sale bit on this forum.

I went to a cash converters type place in woodseats and they offered me 20p for an album - I walked back out and most of them are on ebay now... I only wanted a quid a piece really... 20p was just taking the mickey!! Really recent albums as well!!

I'm sure crap converters is franchised, i think they have an in house competition to see which member of staff can rip off the public the most.

I bought a car sound system from them then found i could have got it cheaper (brand new) on the internet, (you live & learn)

What CD's are they? If you PM me a list I might be interested in taking them off your hands as a job lot.
Cheers
Marc

Not sure, to be honest. I've always known it as Cash Xchange. I thought it was a Cash Converters as well until I actually bothered to look at the sign.

Cash Generator at Uni was ace - I got Megadrive games for £2 each! Then found that Gamestation were selling the same games for £15 in their "Retro" section....

cash convertors got closed down due to illigal weapon sales. They didn't have a licence and they sold weapons to under 18's.

A kid was caught with a gun and they traced the sale to there and, cash convertors vanished.

It should have been closed down much more sooner than that though. I was in there and that fat ****** was playing with a pelit gun shooting it at somthing behind the counter.

Isn't the Cash Converters still open on Holme Lane?

i like to browse in crack converters or smack exchange and wonder how they can sell some of the stuff at ridiculous prices and fob them off as quality items.

Case in point big red speakers saying the are somthing like 1000wats each.

poorly designed Cabinets (basically just a box with no thought put into it), cheap drivers, and cheap piezo tweeters.

and how do they work out 1000watts they use the pmpo (peak music power output)
at a push i reckon they could probably just about put out 100watts RMS

i could go on for days about these shops, my girlfriend hates it when i go in
