The Infadels, "We are not the Infadels" although one track was featured on a Mazda 2 ad and another on the jellyfish '3' advert. Classic album. Can't understand why they aren't huge.

All of Shawn Smith's albums. He is a singer/songwriter from Seattle and deserves to be much more widely known.

Also 'Lovage - Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By' an album by Dan the Automator with Mike Patton and Jennifer Charles.

`Busy Making Progress` by a band called Progress.

Bloody good album, made in the late 70s and was owned by a totty I was going out with in `81.
I played it over and over and when we split up she took it with her and I havent heared it since.

Just Googled it and here it is! (http://www.discogs.com/Progress-Busy-Making-Progress/release/920716)

Like Mel, I've probably got more albums that people haven't heard of than ones they have, mainly of European synth music and avant-garde weirdness, but here's a couple of underrated British post-punk items that Mel might have heard of:

Legendary Pink Dots: The tower
Metabolist: Hansten Klork
