Anyone know whats goin off at Fiztalan Square.

Shed loads of coppers and the tram crossing the road outside the KFC is taped off.

Also further down towards the markets has some tape all over, but not closed off, only to viehcles.

Saw a Taxi cab parked outside the KFC and it looked like the driver was in the back of a squad car. .

Anyone know owt. . .

Or maybe the taxi driver is one of bin laden's crew.

I heard apparenty someone had been knocked down by a taxi. trams terminating at sheff station. No more news at the mo.

Sound feasable, as there was a parked taxi and a push bike proped up on a lamp post. .

I had to get off the tram at Cathedral stop at 23.00hrs. The driver said that the police were stopping all through trams at that point, as the route ahead was now closed to all traffic. The driver had no idea when the police would allow the trams in eiher direction to proceed - so I opted to catch a bus instead.

The trams are late! Thats all I know...

yes i was at the sheffield bus interchange very irrate passengers even the staff had not got a clue i was waiting for my wife who told me the a taxi had hit a bike rider and the chap was in a bad way . very strange night i was on the bus earlier on and it looked like someone was getting mugged outside the back entrance of the lyceum sheffield is not safe a night no more

Unfortunately, due to the rather obscure layout at the end of Haymarket/Fitzallen Square, any RTA will result in about half the SY police force cordoning of the area. I've been down there a couple of times when people have been hit by taxis or buses and it soon descends to chaos around Arundel Gate/Park Square/Hay Market because the buses are blocked.

It is no longer called a RTA

They are now called RTC's - Road Traffic Collisions, as there is always someone to blame.
