Hi all,
I assume you can register with as many agencies as you like but does anyone know if you can work for more than one at the same time?
Thanks

There is no law against having 2 jobs and there is no law against doing those jobs through 2 different agenices.
That said, you may wish to check your contract of employment with each agency since they may have clauses. However any employment contract must be reasonable so you can always ask for guidance on this.
Of course, the jobs must not conflict with or impact upon each other same as with any job, agency or not.

The only thing i want to say really is that there isnt a law against it and if you manage to get 2 jobs well done but what i must say for your sake is be careful now the reason i say this is because employment agencies can be so slimey and trick you out of well earned wages.
Ive worked for a few agencies before the first one told me that i would be paid £7 a hour for 40 hours although i did a little more then that if you include breaks dinner etc however after grafting my guts out i was shocked to see my bank balance of £125.sumat which when you work it out is about £3 a hour which is under the minimum wage when i asked about it they just casually informed me it was emergency tax and commision from there side and i couldnt claim any of it back.
Another instance i had was that i worked for a agency in a call centre i was advised in the interview ill get a bonus for this, this many weeks holiday, pay is this all fine only to find out a later date that because i worked for an agency the company i worked for didnt allow bonuses to agencies workers, i wasnt entitled to any weeks holiday in my contract, i was paid less then the company workers.
Like i said they do have the potential to be very worthwhile but just be careful because they can be slimey

Well you should have taken action because you can claim NMW as a minimum. Their commission is always on top of whatever you get and your tax code and amount will have been on your pay slip to verify. Yes, some may be bad, but dont take what crap is given to you, do something about it.

You can cliam the emergency tax back at the end of the tax year if you have paid to much or when you hand in your P45 to a new employer you should get it back through your payslips once everything has gone through the system.

Every worker is entitled to a minimum of 28 days paid holiday per year by law.
