View Full Version : Selling a Belfast Sink
Pessimist 20-05-2010, 23:32 I have not put this on the items for sale section, as I am not selling it just yet. I am just wondering what they usually sell around? It's an old one, so would probably just be suitable for planting in or something rather than use as an actual sink. Cheers folks!
megalithic 20-05-2010, 23:43 As a professional gardener i'd rather such pieces go to people who appreciate them, i just gave 6 away, various sizes, i have a vested interest though as i'll profit from planting and maintaining them and the gardens they are sited in.
On average i'd supply and deliver for around £30, planted up from £50 - £65.
They aren't that rare if you know where to source them from to be honest.
If it's a sale without delivery £20 - £25 is a good price.
Pessimist 20-05-2010, 23:46 It may have to be a sale without delivery, as I can't lift the bleeder up! haha Cheers again.
megalithic 20-05-2010, 23:56 Well if you can't get rid, most ads for them don't, i'd offer you the price i've stated and pick it up, all they are for me is a goodwill gesture that leads to more work if i have an area they would enhance.
Gardening is my hobby and my job, yeah it's my living but i only just scrape by through it, pleasing a customer is more important to me than extortionate profit, in balance though i should point out i only do high class / show garden maintenance.
megalithic 20-05-2010, 23:59 Btw, for balance and honesty again i've seen them go for well over £70, you just need to find the right buyer at the right time, if you have the space to hold onto it do so, you may receive a nice bonus at some point.
terminator 21-05-2010, 00:11 All depends on model from £30 and well into three figures
megalithic 21-05-2010, 00:25 I have a few available, 24 inch X 18 inch if your willing to go to 3 figures, delivered and planted. :hihi:
Seriously though, don't be ripped off, they aren't that rare, though sellers will have you believe they are.

Seriously though, don't be ripped off, they aren't that rare, though sellers will have you believe they are.Why on earth would i want to pay three figures for one we used to take them to a dealer so i know figures are correct plus there,s more than one type.Like i said from £30 up.
megalithic 21-05-2010, 20:52 From £30 up, i gave one away today so that's from £0 up methinks, depends who you know. :hihi:
I've got one under the side of my hut (half buried, reddish colour) but it's a shallow type, at a guess, six or seven inch deep, is it worth digging up?

I would, you'd get £30 upwards for it, or so i'm lead to believe. :P
Blimey, it's probably worth more than the hut!
